Built for the Rockies,
by people who live here

Cordova Builders started in 2022 with a simple idea: build homes that belong where they stand. Founder Michael Cordova launched the company in Illinois, drawing on years of hands-on construction experience before relocating his family to Westcliffe in search of a life closer to the mountains. That move wasn't just personal. It shaped everything about how we build.

Westcliffe sits in Custer County at roughly 8,000 feet, where the terrain is unforgiving and city utilities are often nowhere in sight. We arrived ready to work and quickly learned what it takes to build well here. Labor shortages, remote job sites, and high-altitude conditions pushed us to sharpen every part of our process. The result is a team that knows this land and builds for it.

From your first call to final walkthrough, we keep you informed and in control. Every step is transparent—no surprise change orders, no hidden fees.

Initial Consultation

Contact us with your vision—custom home, deck, remodel, or new build. We discuss your goals, site conditions, and budget to see if we're the right fit for your project.

Planning & Proposal

We evaluate your site, discuss your vision and budget, and coordinate with your design team to define the scope of work. During preconstruction, we develop a detailed project budget and schedule—helping you understand costs, allowances, and next steps before approving your construction agreement.

Construction & Communication

We coordinate and oversee construction from site preparation through finishing touches. Through your online client portal, we share regular updates, project photos, and key milestones to keep you informed. Scheduled site visits allow you to explore your home’s progress and discuss details with our team.

Final Walkthrough

We complete all details, address any final notes, and walk the finished project with you. Once approved, your custom build is ready to move in.

We handle permits, inspections, and site cleanup. You stay involved and approve each phase before we move forward.
